Martin W. Essex School for the Gifted

The School Study Council of Ohio (SSCO) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Martin W. Essex School for the Gifted and Talented™. SSCO holds the trademark to the Essex School. We welcome proposals that describe provision of programs that meet the needs of gifted and talented students. These programs may focus on specific areas, e.g., math, science, creative writing, the arts or theater and may target specific populations, e.g., gifted females, underserved populations. They may be built on an ongoing program serving gifted and talented students and may use a variety of instructional formats, including innovative groupings and delivery systems.

Benefits to awardees include use of the Essex trademark, access to the top rising high school seniors in Ohio for recruitment, and the opportunity to highlight programs for the gifted and talented at colleges and universities.
